Preziosi: I want Borriello & Immobile to score against Juventus

The Genoa president believes too many former players have scored against his side and would like to see the former Bianconeri duo buck the trend on Sunday
Genoa president Enrico Preziosi is hoping Marco Borriello or Ciro Immobile can score in Sunday's home clash with their former club, Juventus.

The Rossoblu signed the latter from the Serie A champions during the summer transfer window, with former the former joining on a season-long loan from Roma on transfer deadline day.

"Alas, the law of the ex-player always seems to work against us," Preziosi told Calcio News 24.

"I think of the goals scored against us over the years by Marco Di Vaio and Sergio Floccari. It would not hurt if Borriello or Immobile were to score this time.

"Though to be honest, I hope Bosko Jankovic scores, a player who has been with us for many years and been through a lot."

The 64-year-old businessman spoke from his side's training ground, where he had arrived to welcome Borriello's return to the club along with new signing Damiano Ferronetti.

"I took the opportunity to welcome Ferronetti in person and to meet Borriello, who I have not seen for a long time and am very close to," he continued.

"I will probably not be at the stadium on Sunday because I have an important meeting with Chinest customers of the club.

"Juventus will be tough, muscular, full of tension and competition."
