Official: Ziegler leaves Juventus on loan for Lokomotiv Moscow
The Switzerland international will continue his career in the Russian top flight after both sides reached an agreement over a temporary deal
Lokomotiv Moscow have announced on their official website that they have secured the services of Reto Ziegler from Juventus on a one-year loan deal with the option to make the wing-back's stay at the club permanent at the end of his spell. The Paravozy were keen to add some fresh blood to their squad, and new head coach Slaven Bilic has now been able to add a new defender to their ranks on deadline day of the Russian transfer window.
The 26-year-old Ziegler was desperate to leave Juventus this summer after being deemed surplus to requirements by head coach Antonio Conte, and will now be looking to relaunch his career at the Russian outfit.
The Switzerland international joined Juve from Sampdoria in the summer of 2011, but was shipped out on loan to Fenerbahce last term before making a single official appearance for the Old Lady.
