Abate positive about AC Milan's chances in 2012-13
By Stefan Coerts
Aug 18, 2012 7:17:00 AM
The Italy international believes that the Rossoneri can go far in the 2012-13 campaign as long as they show the right attitude
Ignazio Abate is confident that AC Milan can do well in the forthcoming campaign, and is eagerly anticipating the Serie A opener against Sampdoria. The Rossoneri sold players such as Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic this summer, but Abate feels they can go a long way in 2012-13 as long as they keep working hard.
"I am very optimistic for the season to come because I have seen how much we have been helping each other – something that should never be underestimated. We must keep on working united for 95 minutes in every match," Abate stated to Milan Channel.
"We are still putting in a lot of hard work. Now we have the Juventus match to look forward to, then the season gets underway with Sampdoria, a tough customer who have bolstered their squad with a great forward like Maxi Lopez."
Milan are currently preparing for Sunday's friendly against Juventus.
