Partenopei president Aurelio De Laurentiis has revealed that the Chinese authorities have reassured him over the organisation of the clash with Juventus on August 11
Partenopei president Aurelio De Laurentiis claimed on Saturday that Walter Mazzarri's men would not compete in the game in the China on August 11, labelling it "a crazy trip, an unnecessary stress".
However, Napoli revealed on their website that the outspoken film producer has had a change of heart after talks with local officials.
"President Aurelio De Laurentiis, having spoken at length with the Chinese authorities, who gave him ample reassurances on the general organisation of the Supercoppa, has confirmed that Napoli will participate in the competition in Beijing," the statement read.
The Napoli owner added that all of his demands regarding the staging of the clash with the Bianconeri had been met.
"We had many doubts about the organisation [of the game]," De Laurentiis explained. "They have assured me that everything will be run in the manner requested.
"I decided not to create problems for Lega Calcio. The team will leave for Beijing on August 5."
Napoli defeated Serie A winners Juventus in the Coppa Italia final in Rome in May.
