The Italy international admitted that the Serie A champions always remained in his heart, even though he doubted at one point whether he would ever return from ParmaSebastian Giovinco has insisted that he never stopped loving Juventus, and confessed that returning to his boyhood club is a dream come true.
The 25-year-old is a product of the Juve youth academy, but left the club for Parma in 2010 on a co-ownership deal after failing to secure regular first team action at the Old Lady.
Nevertheless, he re-joined the Turin giants this summer after an impressive season at the Ennio Tardini, and expressed his delight to have finally "come home".
"I had lost hope that I could still return to Juve in my first year [away from the club]. But I always worked hard because it was a dream to make a comeback," Giovinco was quoted as saying by Tuttosport.
"I never stopped loving Juventus. And a return the year after the club won the Scudetto is a dream come true.
"I started believing in a transfer again towards the end of spring, when talks of a deal became ever more intense. Still, you never know how things would work out, so I only really believed it when the papers were signed.
"Joining Juventus again was like coming home. I'm back in my hometown, to my club, and close to my family again. It's incredible to play in your own country for one of the biggest teams in the world."
Giovinco has a contract with Juventus until June 2015 after the Bianconeri paid €11 million to buy the other 50 per cent of his economic rights from Parma.
