The 22-year-old left-back, who has an Italian passport, will be presented to the media on Friday afternoon after signing on the dotted line for the Rossoblu
However, the Rossoblu refused to confirm either the duration of the 22-year-old left-back's contract or the size of the fee involved.
"Bologna FC 1909 announces that it has reached an agreement with Nacional Montevideo for the outright transfer of the player Mathias Abero," a statement on the club's official website read.
"The player will link up with the team this evening [Thursday] and will be presented to the press tomorrow [Friday]."
Abero, who has an Italian passport, netted three times in 16 league appearances for Nacional last season.
