Pato will not leave AC Milan, says agent
The Brazil international appeared to be on his way out of the Rossoneri earlier in 2012, but his representative has assured that the attacker is "happy to stay at the club"
Gilmar Veloz, the agent of Alexandre Pato, has made it clear that the attacker has no intention of leaving AC Milan in the summer transfer window. The 22-year-old has been linked with a move away from the Serie A giants in the past few months, and came close to completing a switch to Paris Saint-Germain in the winter trade period. But his representative has insisted that his client wants to fulfil his contract with the Rossoneri.
"He could have joined PSG in January, but that didn't happen in the end and it is something of the past now," Veloz was quoted as saying by Tuttomercatoweb.com. "He will remain at Milan and is happy to stay at the club.
"Alexandre has a contract until June 2014 and is still a Milan player. He still has two more years left on his deal, so there's no reason to talk about an extension just yet.
"He's very calm. He's focusing on the Olympics now and will then return to Milan where he will become a key player again."
Pato missed large parts of the 2011-12 campaign due to muscular problems, and netted only once in 11 Serie A appearances for Massimiliano Allegri's side, who on Wednesday sold Zlatan Ibrahimovic to PSG.
