thumbnail Hello,

The 26-year-old feels the Nerazzurri could achieve great things if they show the right attitude, and stressed that they are one of the teams capable of winning the Scudetto

Fredy Guarin believes that Inter can fight for silverware again in the 2012-13 campaign if they manage to show the same passion that helped Juventus to Serie A glory last term.

The midfielder feels that the Old Lady's desire to win was one of the main reasons for their achievements last season, and is confident the Nerazzurri will be able to compete for the Scudetto if they show a similar will to succeed.

"Juventus showed a certain determination and motivation last year. You could see that they had no intention to give up on their objectives. If Inter can show the same passion this year, we can achieve some great things," Guarin stated to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"Juventus and AC Milan remain the teams to beat, but we are among the title favourites, too. It will be hard, but we have what it takes to return to the top. Last year was a bit of a strange season. We're back with a clear philosophy, though, under [Andrea] Stramaccioni."

Guarin spent the second half of last season on loan at the Nerazzurri from Porto, and then joined Inter on permanent basis in May.
