Dossena's agent admits move to AC Milan is possible
The Napoli full-back is a summer transfer target for the Rossoneri, but it is up to Walter Mazzarri whether he wants to release him or keep in at the San Paolo
Andrea Dossena's agent has revealed that Napoli and AC Milan have held talks over a potential transfer to San Siro. The ex-Liverpool full-back is reportedly a summer target for the Rossoneri, but the defender's future will depend on Walter Mazzarri’s plans for the player.
Representative Roberto La Florio confirmed that negotiations have taken place, and it is now up to the Partenopei how they wish to proceed.
“I spoke to Napoli, and they have had a chat with Milan, but Dossena’s contract lasts until 2014 so it is up to them,” he told Sky Sport 24.
“If Napoli decide against keeping him then a new scenario will open, especially considering we are talking about an experienced player who plays in the delicate position of left-back – and players of his type are difficult to find in this market.”
Massimiliano Allegri’s side are looking to revamp their squad this summer after relinquishing their Serie A crown to Juventus in 2011-12.
