Lucio undergoes Juventus medical
The veteran defender is one step closer to a move to the Turin giants as they have announced the centre-back is currently undergoing physical tests
Juventus have confirmed that experienced defender Lucio is currently undergoing medical tests ahead of his proposed move to the Serie A champions. The Brazil international left Inter earlier this week after the Nerazzurri agreed to terminate the defender's contract following his desire to move on, and Lucio has not wasted any time finding himself a new club.
"Lucio has arrived in Turin for a medical ahead of a proposed move to Juventus," an official statement on the club's website reads.
"The 34-year-old Brazilian will undergo routine tests at the city’s Clinica Fornaca di Sessant and Istituto di Medicina dello Sport medical centres."
Lucio had also attracted the interest of Fenerbahce and Malaga, but he has opted for a prolonged stay in Italy instead.
Juventus have offered the centre-back a two-year deal worth €2.6m per season in addition to performance-related bonuses.
