Parma re-sign Amauri on free transfer
The former Juventus forward bagged seven goals in 11 Serie A appearances for the Gialloblu during a successful loan spell at the Ennio Tardini during the 2010-11 season
Parma have confirmed the signing of Amauri on a free transfer following the expiration of the player's six-month contract with Serie A rivals Fiorentina.Amauri, who enjoyed a successful loan spell with the Gialloblu in 2011, returns to the Ennio Tardini after putting pen to paper on a two-year contract, with the option for a third season.
"Welcome back, Ama," read a statement on the club's official website. "Parma FC announced today [Monday] that it has completed the agreement with the Brazilian striker Amauri, who returns to wear the shirt after the crucial contribution he made during the 2010-11 season."
Amauri, who netted seven goals in 11 Serie A games during his previous loan spell with Parma, only joined Fiorentina from Juventus during the January transfer window.
However, the forward struck just once in 13 league outings for the Viola.
