Galliani: AC Milan's transfer market already closed
By Stefan Coerts
Jul 1, 2012 9:10:00 PM
The Rossoneri supremo hinted at the weekend that young attacker Mattia Destro could move to the San Siro side, but has now stressed no transfers will take place
Adriano Galliani has made it clear that AC Milan have no intention to make any more signings ahead of the 2012-13 campaign. The Rossoneri director stated at the weekend that Milan could sign Mattia Destro from Genoa this summer, but he has now backtracked and stressed that 'it was just a hypothesis'.
"Destro? It was just a hypothesis. Milan have already closed their market," Galliani was quoted as saying by Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 2011 Serie A champions have already secured the services of players such as Riccardo Montolivo, Francesco Acerbi, Kevin Constant and Bakaye Traore this summer, but were expected to further add to their squad after the departure of several first team regulars.
Nevertheless, it now seems that they will only enter the transfer market again if they sell players first.
