The Partenopei chief announced that he was successful in his attempt to have the match played in China as the Serie A champions wanted it to be held in TurinNapoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has confirmed that the 2012 edition of the Supercoppa Italiana against Juventus will be played in China.
The two clubs had been at odds over the location of the match, with Napoli threatening to boycott the contest if the Bianconeri's request to have the game played in Turin was accepted.
"We will play in Beijing on August 11, but we still have to agree on the time of the match," De Laurentiis told Radio Marte.
"Juventus want to play at 19:00 or 20:00 local time, while we prefer to play it at 21:00, which is at 15:00 in Italy."
According to reports, the match will be played at the Beijing National Stadium, also known at the 'Bird’s Nest', which hosted the Supercoppa in 2009 and 2011.
Napoli earned the right to take part in the clash after defeating Juventus 2-0 in the Coppa Italia final.
