Del Piero linked with Japan switch - report

The World Cup winner is a free agent and has repeatedly stated his desire to sample another footballing culture before he brings the curtain down on his illustrious career
Sanfrece Hiroshima are reportedly interested in signing Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero.

According to Tuttosport, the Japanese outfit have made an approach for the out-of-contract forward, who has also been linked with MLS side Montreal Impact, Argentina's River Plate and Mexican duo Club America and Cruz Azul.

The paper claims that Del Piero is currently evaluating several offers but will make a final decision on his future in the next 10 days.

The World Cup winner, who raised a vast amount of money for those affected by the earthquake/tsunami that hit Japan in March 2011, has already ruled out the prospect of moving to another Italian club after 19 years with Juventus.

Del Piero last month lifted the Scudetto but even though he played a crucial part in the Bianconeri's run-in, he was restricted to the role of impact substitute following the arrival of Antonio Conte as coach last summer.
