The out-of-contract Juventus legend was thought to be on the verge of joining Montreal Impact last week but thus far, nothing has come of the alleged talks with the MLS outfit.
According to Record, two men representing Del Piero are currently in Cancun for the Mexican top flight's transfer deadline day and are said to have spoken with officials from several clubs.
The paper also claims that two sides, Club America and Cruz Azul, have expressed an keenliness in snapping up the attacker, who is said to be seeking just under €2 million per season.
Del Piero, who has also fuelled a possible switch to Argentine outfit River Plate, has repeatedly stated that he wants to end his illustrious career abroad, having brought the curtain down on his 19-year stay in Turin in fine style by lifting this season's Serie A title.
