The Rossoblu president claims he has spoken to Bianoocelesti counterpart Claudio Lotito about the possibility of his former coach succeeding Edy RejaGenoa president Enrico Preziosi has revealed that he has recommended Gian Piero Gasperini to fellow supremo Claudio Lotito as a possible successor to Edy Reja at Lazio.
The 54-year-old is currently without a job after being sacked by Inter just five games into his tenure, but the patron has told the Biancocelesti to consider his former boss, who lead the Grifone to four consecutive top-half finishes in Serie A.
"I do not think, at least for now, that there will be exchanges with Lotito and Lazio, even if the relationship is exceptionally good." Preziosi told Radio Sport Mana Mana.
"It is true I have recommended Gasperini to Lazio, few coaches are as good as him. Lazio would do a deal if Lotito could me to ask for advice, [and] I would tell him to take it.
"Gasperini just needs players suited [to his style of management]."
Lazio finished the Serie A campaign in fourth place, missing out on Champions League qualification, but are without a coach following Reja's decision to step down after two years at the Olimpico.
