Genoa president Enrico Preziosi has announced that forward Rodrigo Palacio will leave the club to join Inter in the summer transfer window.
The 30-year-old had long been linked with a move to the Giuseppe Meazza side, and Preziosi has now revealed that both clubs have agreed on a transfer fee, although the figure is yet to be disclosed.
"Rodrigo Palacio will be an Inter player next season. We have reached an agreement for a transfer," Preziosi said to reporters.
The Argentina international, however, has yet to agree personal terms with Inter.
The 2010 Champions League winners are in the market for attacking reinforcements as Mauro Zarate is expected to return to Lazio this summer after a one-year loan spell, while Diego Forlan has also been linked with a move away from the Nerazzurri.
Palacio joined Genoa from Boca Juniors in the summer of 2009, and had since racked up 41 goals in 100 league appearances for the Liguria outfit.
