Inter keeping tabs on Manchester City duo Kolarov & De Jong - report
The Nerazzurri are looking to add some fresh blood to their squad this summer, and have reportedly earmarked the Serbian and the Dutchman as potential signings
Nigel de Jong could be on his way out of Manchester City in the summer transfer window as Inter have shown an interest in acquiring the Netherlands international, Tuttosport reports. The Nerazzurri are keen to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2012-13 campaign after a disappointing season which saw them finish in just sixth place in the Serie A table, and they see the Dutchman as the perfect addition to their midfield.
De Jong joined Manchester City from Hamburg in January 2009, and quickly became a key player at the Citizens.
However, the Netherlands international, who has a contract with the club until the summer of 2013, has been struggling to secure regular first-team action this term, and Inter are hopeful of luring the midfielder away from the Premier League champions.
Meanwhile, Inter are also believed to be closely monitoring the situation of Aleksandar Kolarov as they are looking to sign a new left-back.
Toulouse star Franck Tabanou is the Giuseppe Meazza side's first choice for the position, but they see the 26-year-old Serbia international as a suitable alternative, should they fail to sign the Frenchman.
