Spartak Moscow are reportedly weighing up a summer bid for Inter playmaker Wesley Sneijder, according to Tuttosport.
The Netherlands international has struggled for both form and fitness this season and has been repeatedly linked with a move away from San Siro, but after netting two goals in Wednesday's victory at Udinese, the 27-year-old insisted that he has never requested a transfer.
The player had been expected to join Manchester United last summer but the switch never materialised. Anzhi were then reported to be ready to make a lucrative offer during the January transfer window but again, there was no movement on that front.
However, that has not dissuaded Spartak, who have joined Russian compatriots Anzhi Makhachkala and Lokomotiv Moscow in the battle to secure Sneijder's signature.
Meanwhile, the paper also claims that the Nerazzurri are set offer contract extensions to defender Cristian Chivu and goalkeeper Luca Castellazzi, having already agreed terms with veteran centre-back Walter Samuel.
