Zanetti: Inter want Champions League football

The experienced Argentine has stressed that the Nerazzurri have set their sights on third spot in the table, and added they're only thinking about their own performances
Javier Zanetti has stated that Inter are desperate to qualify for next year's edition of the Champions League.

The Nerazzurri currently sit sixth in the Serie A table, trailing third-placed Lazio by three points, and the Argentine has stressed that Andrea Stramaccioni's men are focused on their own results.

"We're working hard to make that third Champions League berth ours; we want it and we believe we can get it. There are four games to go and we'll keep trying until the end," Zanetti stated to the official Inter website.

"The Milan derby? We have two other games coming up first and we'll be up there battling it out for third place.

"Who would I rather see win the Scudetto, Juventus or AC Milan? I don't know, we're focused on securing Champions League football and on building a great squad for next year; we're not thinking about the others."

Inter are currently preparing for the home match against Cesena on Sunday.
