thumbnail Hello,

The experienced goalkeeper feels that the Bianconeri's impressive stability in their back line and self-belief are the main reasons for their successful season so far

Gianluigi Buffon has voiced his delight with Juventus' good form in the 2011-12 campaign, and feels that their defensive strength has been vital for the team's unbeaten run.

Juve beat Roma 4-0 on Sunday evening to move three points clear of title rivals AC Milan at the top of the Serie A standings, and Buffon believes that the Old Lady's success is mainly down to their impressive defensive record.

"It’s pleasing to still be unbeaten, but it’s the way we play and the strength we show in every game that demonstrates how much this team believe in their capabilities," Buffon was quoted as saying on the club's official website.

"I’ve conceded just once in the last seven games and just 15 in the 31 games I’ve played. Something like this has never happened before, not even in the years when we dominated as a side.

"The defensive solidarity is the platform on which we’ve built our successes."

Juventus resume Serie A action on Wednesday when they travel to Cesena.
