The experienced Argentine picked up a knock in the Nerazzurri's scoreless draw on Sunday, and will undergo a scan on Monday to determine the extent of the problem
Inter coach Andrea Stramaccioni has received some disappointing news in the aftermath of the Milan club's scoreless Serie A draw away against Fiorentina on Sunday, as veteran defender Javier Zanetti picked up a leg injury during the clash. The Argentine sustained the knock in the opening 45 minutes and was forced to stay behind in the dressing room at half-time due to the issue.
"I felt a twinge at the back of my left leg," Zanetti explained to the official Inter website.
"I had a little problem with my Achilles during the week and maybe, trying to compensate, I put a bit more weight on that area.
"We'll see, I'll have a scan and hopefully it will be alright. I'll do everything I can to be available for Wednesday."
Inter sit seventh in the Serie A table at the moment with 49 points from 33 games.
