thumbnail Hello,

The Rossoneri make three changes from the side that drew with Barcelona, with Alberto Aquilani, and Urby Emanuelson joining the right-back in regaining a starting place

AC Milan welcome back Ignazio Abate for Saturday evening's Serie A clash with Catania at the Massimino, but Kevin-Prince Boateng, Clarence Seedorf and Alessandro Nesta miss out.

The experienced pair were among the heroes as a weakened Milan held Barcelona to a 0-0 draw in the Champions League quarter-final first leg in midweek, but they miss the trip to Sicily. Meanwhile, the Ghanaian has only recently returned from injury and has been left on the bench.

The good news for the Rossoneri, though, is that Abate has recovered from a lengthy spell on the sidelines and will line up in a reshaped back four against the Etnei.

Vincenzo Montella's side will be led by the front three of Alejandro Gomez, Gonzalo Bergessio and Pablo Barrientos as they look to strengthen their hopes of sneaking into a Europa League spot.

The 18.00CET meeting this evening could see Milan go seven points clear at the top of the table with a win ahead of Juventus' clash with Napoli in Turin on Sunday.

Catania (4-3-3): Carrizo; Motta, Legrottaglie, Spolli, Marchese; Izco, Lodi, Almiron; Gomez, Bergessio, Barrientos.

AC Milan (4-3-1-2): Abbiati; Abate, Bonera, Mexes, Antonini; Aquilani, Ambrosini, Nocerino; Emanuelson; Ibrahimovic, Robinho.
