The Italian defender has penned a contract extension with the Bianconeri after watching his situation in the team improve over the last couple of months

Juventus have announced on their official website that Paolo De Ceglie has signed a new contract with the club until 2017.

The 25-year-old's previous deal was due to expire in 2013, with his agent admitting in January that a transfer to Roma was a possibility.

De Ceglie was unhappy with his lack of first-team action at Juventus, but he has committed his future to the Turin-based club after becoming a key member in coach Antonio Conte's team since the start of the calendar year.

The left-back, who is a product of Juve's youth academy, has made 15 Serie A appearances in 2011-12, scoring one goal for the Bianconeri.
