AC Milan coach Allegri insists Scudetto race not decided yet

The Rossoneri trainer has stressed that the Serie A crown's destination has not been confirmed, as there are still many more games to be played this term
AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has voiced his opinion that the Serie A title race is not decided yet, as he feels a lot of things can happen in the remainder of the 2011-12 campaign.

The Rossoneri recorded a 2-0 win over Lecce on Sunday, whilst closest rivals Juventus were held to a scoreless draw by Genoa.

Milan thus moved four points clear of the Turin giants in the battle for the Scudetto, but the former Cagliari boss remains cautious.

"This win was yet another important step towards the title, but it's not decisive, as there’s still a long way to go," Allegri said in the post-match press conference.

"We have a four-point lead now and there are still 11 games left. We have to focus on what we have to do without making any calculations.

"We’ll stay calm as we’re still in another two competitions as well as the league. Only the numbers will tell you who won at the end of the season. You don’t win or lose the league every weekend."

Milan resume Serie A action on March 17 when they travel to take on Parma at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.
