Inter's Castaignos: 'Our team is becoming old so my time will come'

The Netherlands Under-21 starlet is confident that he will get his chance at the Nerazzurri as he expects the ageing stars to make way for younger players in the near future
Inter striker Luc Castaignos has voiced his opinion that the Nerazzuri are becoming old, and consequently expects to get the chance to prove his worth once the team's older players make way for promising youngsters.

The Netherlands Under-21 forward joined Inter from Feyenoord in the summer of 2011, but has so far been unable to secure regular first-team football at the Giuseppe Meazza side.

Nevertheless, the 19-year-old is confident that his time at the 2010 Champions League winners will come.

"I am feeling fine at Inter. The only concern is that I don't play, but I know I have to be patient. My time will come. Every minute I play is important. I enjoy every day at Inter," Castaignos said to OnsOranje.

"With all due respect, our team is becoming quite old. We have a number of promising youngsters in our squad, and they could get their chance shortly. I am just 19 years old and I have a bright future ahead of me."

The striker has scored once in five Serie A appearances for Inter this season.
