Both players had to be replaced during Saturday night's win over Palermo, with the Dutchman suffering an ankle injury and the defender a thigh problem, but should recoverAC Milan duo Urby Emanuelson and Luca Antonini are both optimistic of being fit for Tuesday night's second leg of the club's Champions League last-16 fixture against Arsenal.
Both players were forced off during Saturday night's Serie A win over Palermo, with Emanuelson having twisted his ankle and Antonini picking up a thigh problem.
However, Emanuelson told his club's official website after the game: "I'm feeling better now. But we'll see how bad it is tomorrow [Sunday].
"But I'm happy because we won and we played a great game."
Encouragingly for the Rossoneri, Antonini was also able to offer a positive prognosis when quizzed on his injury after the win in Sicily, revealing that he had only been taken off as a precautionary measure.
"It’s just a bit of stiffness in my thigh; nothing to be worried about," the defender insisted. "We were already 3-0 up and it was better to save myself for the next games."
While Emanuelson and Antonini look set to be available for the trip to the Emirates, Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri revealed that Clarance Seedorf will not travel. However, Alberto Aquilani, who has been out of action since January, is in contention to play.
Meanwhile, Antonini was almost lost for words when it came to describing Zlatan Ibrahimovic's wonderful hat-trick against Palermo.
"Ibra is too much ...," the full-back exclaimed. "He’s really a phenomenon. We missed him a lot [during his three-game suspension]. You can feel it when he’s on the pitch.”
After the midweek clash with Arsenal, Milan return to league action against Lecce at San Siro next Sunday.
