The Argentina international picked up ligament damage in his knee earlier this campaign, but the doctors aiding his rehabilitation are confident of a return ahead of scheduleNicolas Burdisso's recovery from injury is ahead of schedule, according to Roma medical staff.
The Argentina international damaged his knee ligaments earlier in the campaign and, after an operation, is on the path to a return.
Despite the defender still being more than likely to miss the remainder of this campaign, the Giallorossi doctors are happy with the progress made by the South American centre-back.
“Burdisso’s recovery is going better than the most optimistic of expectations,” specialist Professor Giuliano Cerulli told Il Corriere dello Sport.
“He is a thorough professional, aided by the medical and technical staff that are extraordinarily prepared.”
Roma currently sit sixth in Serie A despite Burdisso's absence, with Luis Enrique currently employing Gabriel Heinze and Juan at the heart of his defence.
