Vialli: Guardiola could coach Inter next season

The retired striker believes that the highly-successful coach could join the Nerazzurri at the end of the season as his Barca contract is coming to an end
Gianluca Vialli says that Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola is a serious candidate to take over at Inter in the summer.

The 41-year-old coach's contract with Barca expires at the end of season and he has yet to commit his future to the Catalan club.

A move to Inter has been mooted as a possibility as the Nerazzurri are believed to be considering a managerial change following Claudio Ranieri's disappointing start at San Siro.

"Next season, Guardiola could be on Inter's bench, with Roberto Baggio as his assistant," Vialli told Sky Sports.

The Spanish coach, who has guided Barca to 13 titles since assuming the reins of the club's first team in 2008, wore a blue and black scarf in his side's Champions League clash with Leverkusen on Tuesday, but denied that he was hinting at a potential move to San Siro.
