Javier Zanetti: Inter are not giving up and will fight for the Champions League and Scudetto

The versatile defensive midfielder has stressed that the Nerazzurri must shake off their current poor run of form, and refused to rule them out of the Scudetto race
Inter midfielder Javier Zanetti has insisted that the Giuseppe Meazza outfit have not given up hope of winning the Serie A title.

The Nerazzurri were beaten 4-0 by Roma last weekend, and have collected only one point from their last three games. Nevertheless, Zanetti still believes that their season isn't over just yet.

"Have we given up? Not even one of us. I agree with what the president said, that we have to shake ourselves up. Everyone in the team must answer for this, we need character and this time we'll do it," Zanetti said to Sky Sport 24.

"Roma deserved to win, and from tomorrow [Wednesday] we'll start putting right what we did wrong. We'll have to start immediately, with Novara in mind. Scudetto? Today we have to think about Novara and finishing third, we'll do our best.

"Have we opted for the Champions League and abandoned the Scudetto? No, we are battling on all fronts."

Inter currently sit fifth in the Serie A table, trailing leaders Juventus by nine points.
