thumbnail Hello,

The veteran midfielder was over the moon with his side's derby victory on Sunday evening, and stressed that the Nerazzurri have to keep up their current form in Serie A

Inter skipper Javier Zanetti feels Sunday's 1-0 Serie A win over rivals AC Milan will be a huge confidence boost for the Nerazzurri.

A single Diego Milito strike in the second half proved to be enough for Inter to record their sixth consecutive league win, and Zanetti is keen to up their good form in the remainder of the 2011-12 campaign.

"After winning a derby you feel even more motivated and it's a massive confidence boost. Winning a derby means so much because you're always up against a great team - that's something that should be stressed," Zanetti was quoted as saying on the Inter website.

"We have to keep working but after winning a game like this you work with even more enthusiasm.

"It's given us three huge points against the team that was top of the table, a strong team, and it's a derby, so we're happy for ourselves and even happier for our fans. Now we just have to keep it up."

Inter's next match is the Coppa Italia game versus Genoa on Thursday where the team will be looking to successfully retain the trophy they won last season.
