Inter's Diego Milito overjoyed with victory over AC Milan & dedicates winning goal to fans

The veteran Argentine forward struggled for goals last year but his winner against the Rossoneri means he has already struck three times in the league in 2012
Diego Milito was understandably overjoyed after scoring the only goal of the game as Inter recorded a 1-0 victory over bitter rivals AC Milan at San Siro on Sunday night, and promptly dedicated his winner to the fans who have stood by him in recent months.

The Argentine, who had a disappointing 2011, followed up his brace against Parma last weekend with the winner in the Derby della Madonnina as the Nerazzurri racked up their sixth successive win in Serie A.

“I’m really happy, truly content,” Milito is quoted as saying by Inter's official website. “We’ve played a great game against a great opponent.

“We knew that it would be difficult but we have played a game of great concentration.

“It was an important test for us, for our position in the table and for morale. We’re very happy.

“To win a derby is the most beautiful thing, above all for the fans. Thanks to them, because they are always behind us. This goal is for them.”

Inter remain fifth in the standings but are now just six points behind league leaders Juventus, and just five behind Milan.
