The agent of Vagner Love has revealed that the player has been left bitterly frustrated by CSKA Moscow’s rejection of an offer of €6 million for his services from Flamengo.
The Russians dismissed the bid as “inadequate”, with club spokesman Sergei Aksenov explaining that while CSKA remain willing to sell the forward, they are not prepared to let him leave for less than €10m.
The club’s stance has infuriated the Brazil international's representative.
“We were upset [by the rejection of Flamengo’s offer],” agent Evandro Ferreira is quoted as saying by Globoesporte.
“They promised they would facilitate the deal, but they placed a high price tag [on the player].”
However, while Flamengo have stated that they are unable to raise their bid, Ferreira is hopeful that the proposed transfer can still go through.
“It is not easy but we will go and try to find someone to help,” he explained. “Let's talk with Flamengo and try some partners or some investors to try to resolve the situation.”
Vagner Love enjoyed a fruitful loan spell at Flamengo in 2010, netting 23 goals in 27 appearances for the Rio de Janeiro-based club.
