Fiorentina's Riccardo Montolivo did not turn down Juventus in favour of AC Milan, reveals agent

The midfielder's representative has dismissed reports that his client is bound to join the reigning Serie A champions after deciding to reject a move to the Old Lady
Giovanni Branchini, the agent of Fiorentina midfielder Riccardo Montolivo, has made it clear that the Italy international has not turned down an offer from Juventus in favour of a potential switch to Serie A champions AC Milan.

A report in La Gazzetta dello Sport on Tuesday suggested that Montolivo had snubbed the Old Lady as he has set his sights on a Bosman move to San Siro at the end of the season.

However, Branchini has stressed that there is no truth in the report as Montolivo's future is still undecided.

"I was quite surprised when I read the report about Riccardo allegedly having turned down Juventus. I can say that there are no recent developments regarding his future," the midfielder's agent said to TuttoJuve.

Montolivo's contract with Fiorentina is due to expire at the end of the season, and the 26-year-old had previously confirmed that he will not sign a new deal with the Viola.
