Paris Saint-Germain interested in Udinese's Mauricio Isla - report

New coach Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly not convinced by his current right-sided options, and has identified the Chile international as the man to solve their woes on the flank

Paris Saint-Germain have set their sights on landing Udinese wing-back Mauricio Isla, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

The publication claims that Carlo Ancelotti has already made right-back a priority position to bolster, with Christophe Jallet and Marcos Ceara struggling to stamp their authority, paving the way for the French giants' alleged interest in the 23-year-old.

Their reported pursuit of Isla also comes as a result of their failure to land Sevilla defender Martin Caceres, who is being lined up for a return to Juventus in the near future, while Federico Balzaretti's proposed transfer has also fallen through.

However, the biggest obstacle facing PSG is expected to be the will of his current employers Udinese, who are understood to be reluctant in allowing the versatile stopper depart the Friuli.

Isla, who can play anywhere in defence or midfield, has flourished into a key figure for Francesco Guidolin's side since breaking into the first-team in 2007, making over 100 appearances for the Serie A outfit.
