Juventus coach Antonio Conte may have to make do without the services of Emanuele Giaccherini after the winger picked up a thigh injury in his side's scoreless Serie A draw against Chievo on Sunday.
The former Cesena star came off the bench to replace Milos Krasic after 56 minutes of play, but was taken off again in the 80th minute after motioning to Conte that he could not continue.
It is not yet exactly known how long the 26-year-old will be out of action as he is yet to undergo further examination, but the Turin giants have revealed that the injury is not related to his recent thigh problem.
"Emanuele Giaccherini was substituted during the second half against Chievo, having felt a pain in the flexor muscle of his left thigh. It is not related to the muscle inflammation that has recently kept the winger on the sidelines. Giaccherini’s condition will be assessed Monday," a statement on the club's official website reads.
Giaccherini joined Juventus from Cesena in the summer transfer window and has made five Serie A appearances so far this season.
