Former Juventus sporting director Alessio Secco has congratulated Antonio Conte for the start he has made as the club's new coach, while also praising the Turin side's president Andrea Agnelli for the way he has handled the Calciopoli scandal.
Secco enjoyed a four year spell at the club until 2010 before being sacked by newly-appointed Agnelli. However, the 41-year-old does not hold any grudges with the man who dismissed him.
"Compared to the period just after 2006 [Calciopoli], even though new things have emerged along with the situation changing, Agnelli has done a great job," he told Calciomercato.
Secco then turned his attentions to the club's performances this season, with Juventus currently sitting top of Serie A after Conte's summer appointment.
"The team are doing well and you can already see the good work of Conte. Antonio has clear ideas having already played for Juventus, and he knows how to transmit his winning spirit to the players," he added.
"We already knew that Conte had the characteristics to become a great coach. I knew that as soon as he started coaching, his goal was to coach Juventus. He has succeeded and had a very good career so far."
Juventus return to Serie A action next Saturday after the international break when they face an away trip to Chievo.
