Inter defender Andrea Ranocchia is full of praise for the way Spanish giants Barcelona play and feels that their style of football could be imported to Italy.
The centre-back added that it could be a long-term project, though, as Italian clubs have to start with their youth teams.
"Barcelona are really great to watch," Ranocchia told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "Their style of play can be exported to Italy, but it has to be reproduced starting from youth teams.
"Barca have very adaptable players, no pure defenders. But they are really good at winning back balls up front, leaving less for the defenders to do."
The Italy international then went on to discuss his side's chances to win the Serie A title this term and stated that there are several candidates for the Scudetto.
"The title is anybody's at the moment," he said. "Inter aren't favourites? Each season everyone starts out equal. Juventus went to town on the transfer market and many others reinforced their teams."
Inter start the 2011-12 Serie A campaign with an away match against Palermo next weekend.
