The right-back, who is currently on international duty for Brazil, insists his mind is fully focused on the Copa America as he hopes to avoid any potential upsets
With Inter's move for Santos right-back Jonathan reportedly close to completion, the 29-year-old could be sold in order to bring in funds and freshen up a squad, which will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing campaign.
"Today I am part of the Brazilian squad and I am not worried about the Real Madrid or Inter rumours. These have not entered my thinking," Goal.com's Andre Baibich reported him saying during Brazil's pre-match press conference.
Maicon, who has won 63 caps for the Selecao, is aware that the Copa America will be a difficult tournament, in spite of the fact that Brazil are one of the favourites: "The Argentina game showed us that the competition will be hard, just like any other one.
"No one wants to suffer a defeat in the first match of a short tournament and Bolivia proved that yesterday."
Brazil kick off their tournament on Sunday against Venezuela with Ecuador and Paraguay completing Group B.
