Palermo's Maurizio Zamparini: We have received a €50m offer for Javier Pastore

The flamboyant club president has revealed that he has received a massive offer for the Argentinian playmaker, as the chances of him remaining in Sicily diminish
Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has revealed that the Serie A side have received a €50 million offer for star player Javier Pastore, and added that the likelihood of the Argentina international remaining in Sicily is a mere 10 per cent. The 22-year-old is one of the most sought after players in the summer transfer market, and has been linked with clubs such as Manchester United, Chelsea, Juventus, Roma and Barcelona in the past few months, following his impressive displays in Serie A throughout the 2010-11 campaign.
"I can confirm that I have received a €50m bid for Pastore from a foreign club. From what country? Iceland. The chance that he will still play here next season is only 10 per cent," Zamparini was quoted as saying by Il Corriere dello Sport.
"He is currently in Argentina to prepare for the Copa America and is quite calm. His agent is considering three or four offers for him at the moment. I am sure that he doesn't have a preference as to his next destination."
Zamparini previously stated that he expects Pastore to move to a wealthy English or Spanish club, but recent rumours suggest that fellow Serie A side Napoli could also make a shock move for the playmaker.
