Veteran defender aims to achieve glory on all fronts as he targets more regular action and continental success in his second term in Milan

AC Milan defender Mario Yepes hopes to win the Champions League next season and believes he can continue playing for the San Siro club beyond 2011-12.

The 35-year-old Colombian is tied to the club until June 2012, but his immediate aims are to taste success on the European stage as the Serie A champions return to Champions League football.

"I feel well and I want to achieve many objectives. I think I can carry on playing for another two or three years, also because I want to win the Champions League," he is quoted as saying by Tuttomercatoweb.com.

Yepes arrived from Chievo in 2010, and was often used a substitute by coach Massimiliano Allegri last season, however, he believes he is still capable of performing a key role for the club.

"I am convinced I am suited to Milan, but at times I was sad as others had more chances to play. However, I have had a good career and last season I was the only player who never missed training," he added.
