thumbnail Hello,

The promising youngster joined the Serie A champions in the January transfer window, but has been unable to make an impact and could be on his way back to Spain

Spanish youngster Didac Vila could exit Serie A champions AC Milan this summer as the San Siro side are ready to farm the full-back out on loan to former club Espanyol, Il Corriere dello Sport reports.

The 21-year-old defender joined Milan from the Barcelona-based side in the January transfer window for a reputed fee of €4 million, but he has made only one Serie A appearance for the Italian giants so far.

The left-sided stopper is unlikely to get more playing time in 2011-12 because of the arrival of Nigeria international Taye Taiwo from Olympique de Marseille, and could therefore opt to leave the Scudetto winners on a temporary basis.

Espanyol are reportedly keen to sign bring Vila back to the Cornella-El Prat on a one-year loan deal, and the player seems open to a return to Catalunya in order to gain first-team experience.
