Santos striker Neymar has gained rave reviews for his performances domestically and for the Selecao, and the 19-year-old attacking midfielder has been targeted by the Turin giants, with the likes of Chelsea also linked with the starlet.
However, Emerson feels that while the attacker is an excellent player, Juve could be better served by opting for Lucas.
He told Tuttosport: "Neymar's a phenomenon, but I'm not sure that he is suitable for Italy. I would see him better in Spain."
When asked for an alternative, he added: "Lucas Moura, from San Paulo. [He is] a second striker or attacking midfielder: he is already very suitable for Italian football."
The diminutive 18-year-old has been a key player in Brazil under 20's set-up, and has made one appearance for the full international team.
