AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has revealed that the newly crowned Serie A champions have signed Philippe Mexes and Taye Taiwo for next season.
His confirmation comes just 24 hours after club CEO Adriano Galliani said they were eager to land Marseille defender Taiwo.
Mexes announced he was leaving Roma at the end of the term last month, and the Milan move was always in the pipeline.
"We have already signed Mexes and Taiwo," Allegri told the press ahead of Tuesday's Coppa Italia semi-final, second-leg at Palermo.
"For the defence we have bought those two players and I think we are fine like this.
"We will see later for the midfield and attack, but for today we have to think about the TIM Cup [Coppa Italia]."
Options for the front line include Ganso of Santos, and Real Madrid ace Kaka with Allegri saying: "They are both great players. For Kaka his career speaks for itself. Ganso is still young and has great quality, but if he comes to Europe he will have to show a lot more," he said.
"I cannot choose. First I have to speak with Galliani and the president to see things from a technical and economical point of view."
Milan meet Palermo at the Renzo Barbera tomorrow night with the tie finely poised at 2-2.
