Italy legend Roberto Baggio has heaped praise on Francesco Totti after the Roma captain surpassed him in the all time Serie A goal standings.
Totti's double for the Lupi in the 3-2 win over Bari on Sunday saw him score goals 205 and 206 in Serie A for his club - beating Baggio's tally of 205.
The former Juventus man, who was a World Cup runner-up in 1994 with the Azzurri, described Totti as one of the greatest Italian players of all time.
"I want to compliment Francesco Totti, scoring 206 goals is a great achievement. It does not matter that he has beat me as he is a great player," Baggio said as reported by Ansa.it.
The 44-year-old was in Florence for the presentation of Stefano Borgonovo's book - 'A Born Striker', and having played for Fiorentina during the early part of his career, Baggio expressed his thoughts on la Viola.
"Every time I return here I always have fond memories of my time with Fiorentina. [Sinisa] Mihajlovic has done a great job, it has not been easy with all the injuries," he said.
Fiorentina meet Inter on Sunday, while Roma welcome Milan a day earlier.
