Massimiliano Allegri knows Inter are on the up, but he says that won't force Milan into an embarrassing climb-down in Serie A.
Rossoneri dominance has started to wear off following two consecutive draws, leaving Inter to close in with just five points separating them.
Allegri can feel the heat, but there is no need for a blazing leap from his men as he cools the burning questions.
"The season is still long and there are many games to go. I have never seen a team in Italy win the Scudetto with months to go," he told Milannews.tv.
"It would have been nice for everyone, but we are doing well at the moment. We knew Inter would return to fight for the Scudetto, and Napoli and Roma are also fighting.
"But what we need to do is to carry on with the focus."
Reports suggested there was a power struggle between Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Alexandre Pato, with some critics claiming they cannot play as a unit. But Allegri has rejected those descriptions.
"Ibra and Pato must play for the best together and remain concentrated," he concluded.
