As Palermo relinquished a two goal lead at the San Siro to leave defeated following a second half comeback by Inter, Rosanero tactician Delio Rossi bemoaned a missed penalty by Javier Pastore which could have sealed the win for the visitors.
“We played a great game against a top side,” he declared to SkySport.
“It must be said we were a little foolish in the second half given the occasions we had to put the result beyond Inter.
“At this level you simply cannot afford to miss such chances. Playing well is not enough and when [Javier] Pastore had the chance to put us three goals up we missed a golden opportunity.
“The side is still young and for this reason I cannot be too hard on my men.
“We are playing great football but need to grow in terms of controlling the result as have often been let down by some lack of expertise in this area.”
