Lazio coach Edy Reja has revealed that winter signing Giuseppe Sculli will be in the starting line-up against Bologna when the two sides confront each other in Serie A on Sunday.
Reja also dismissed suggestions that he has had any problem with Argentine striker Mauro Zarate but said that he will not start tomorrow.
“Zarate played 90 minutes for three games in a row and is coming off a slight muscular twinge, so he will be on the bench," Reja told the press on Saturday. "There is no Zarate problem.
“I have reiterated my ideas numerous times. I will carry on and try to always improve. We must be careful, as in the second half of the season it’s tougher to take home points. This is why I’m keeping everyone on edge.
“Sculli is not yet ready to play 90 minutes, but he will probably start the game, even if I don’t know how long his legs will hold up.Sergio Floccari has rested recently, so he will be the centre-forward.”
Reja also downplayed midweek's Coppa Italia defeat to city-rivals Roma and remarked, “That will absolutely not affect our mentality. In fact, the performance gave us an extra boost of confidence going into the game with Bologna.
“We have rediscovered the right spirit, even if obviously there are regrets over the result. We cannot underestimate Bologna, who in the wake of their club problems are even more eager to prove themselves on the field.”
