Felipe Melo's kick on Parma's Massimo Paci has cost the Juventus midfielder a three-game ban.
The Brazilian lashed out against the Ducali player after 17 minutes when both went down during a tussle for possession.
It means Melo will miss key clashes against Napoli, Bari and Sampdoria.
Sports judge Giampaolo Tosel confirmed the suspension via a statement on the Lega Serie A's official website.
Melo is banned for three games for "having kicked an oppenent in the face".
Juventus lost the game 4-1 following Melo's early sending-off.
