thumbnail Hello,

Inter have finally snapped up centre-back Andrea Ranocchia for €12 million, according to the latest reports...

Genoa defender Andrea Ranocchia has left the club's training camp in anticipation of his move to Inter, according to Il Secolo XIX.

The 22-year-old was already co-owned by the Champions League holders and they will complete his signing in a €12 million deal.

The former Bari star has been in excellent form this season, earning a call-up to the Italian national team and being included in our Goal.com Special: Top 10 Serie A Transfers Of The Season.

Earlier on Monday, Grifoni president Enrico Preziosi admitted that the towering centre-back was bound for San Siro in January, despite previously claiming the club would attempt to hold on to the player.

Ranocchia may begin training with his new team-mates and new coach Leonardo on December 29, a couple days before the winter transfer window actually opens, courtesy of authorization from his current club Genoa.

The Italy international has been touted to move to the Nerazzurri as cover for the injured Walter Samuel, who suffered a season ending injury in November.
